EduCativPosted May 13, 2021SharePosted May 13, 2021 Greetings and a very warm welcome to Ysgol Tryfan’s new website. Ysgol Tryfan is a bilingual secondary school in the city of Bangor, teaching the vast majority of its subjects through the medium of Welsh thus promoting the bilingualism of our pupils in a supportive Welsh atmosphere. There are 544 pupils at Ysgol Tryfan with over 80 students in the Sixth Form. Our goal as a school is to ensure that all pupils and students who come to us achieve their potential. We strive to create principled and respectful citizens with the skills and tools to contribute fully to society in the twenty-first century and face all its challenges. e are proud of the consistently high academic standards of the school, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities are also available at the school, with pupils experience success in various fields. Contributing to Welsh culture is a key facet of the school’s extra-curricular life, as is our contribution to the local community. This website will hopefully give you a taste of all the excitement surrounding the school and we also hope that it will be a useful tool to communicate effectively with our pupils, our parents, our governors, and friends in general. We will be pleased to receive any comments on how to further develop the website and its use. To Provide education of the highest standard to assist the individual pupil to acquire knowledge about himself/herself, to develop the resources that he/she has to the best of his/her ability, and to overcome his/her weaknesses. To create an environment that will nurture a good relationship between each individual, and to teach the pupil to respect and value the character, talents, and views of other people. To enable each pupil to become fluent in both Welsh and English to become aware of the community and the world in which he/she lives and to promote an understanding of his/her background and environment. To develop a wide, balanced, and relevant curriculum for every pupil which fulfills the requirements of the National Curriculum and school and LEA policies. To nurture and develop each pupil through the pastoral system which exists to care for the welfare and development of pupils. To enable pupils to achieve the necessary qualifications so that they will be able to contribute responsibly to the community that they will eventually become a part of. To develop contacts with commerce and local businesses and a close relationship with parents, further and higher education, and the community as a whole.View full schoolQuoteLink to commentShare on other sitesMore sharing options...
