We are a friendly, hardworking school situated in Upper Denbigh. We have wonderful views of Denbigh Castle and the surrounding countryside. Our staff is fully committed to ensuring all our children have the support they need to achieve the best they can.

Ysgol Pendref is a new school that officially opened its doors on September 1st, 2012. It provides wrap-around education for children from 3 to 11 years of age on two main sites 50 meters apart. The Foundation Phase is based on the lower site which used to be Ysgol Gwaenynog. This site is also the base for breakfast and after-school clubs as well as a host of other wrap-around care. Ysgol Pendref is an English medium community coeducational day primary school situated on the edge of the market and castle town of Denbigh in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. It is built on two sites 50 meters apart:-The Foundation Phase for children up to 7 years of age on the lower part (single age classes) and Key Stage 2 (mixed-age classes) for children from 7 to 11 years of age on the upper part of Gwaenynog Road. Both buildings have access to extensive outdoor areas, which are utilized to deliver an exciting and interesting curriculum, ranging from outdoor learning to using our newly installed orienteering course.
