EduCativPosted May 13, 2021SharePosted May 13, 2021 Our aim here at Ysgol Morfa Rhianedd is to provide a happy and safe environment where every individual is treated with respect and where every effort is made to allow our pupils to develop to their full potential within a challenging and fair environment. We believe that a close partnership between the home and the school is extremely important. Parents’ support and help are very much welcomed and appreciated. We have a group of engaged and faithful parents and friends that work hard with teachers and members of the community to support our school. The purpose of the Friends group is to support our educational aims through various social activities and raise funds. As an important channel for parental contact, it outlines the emphasis we put on parental partnerships. The school collects information about children, young people, and their parents or legal guardians when they go to a new school, they also collect information at other times during the school year. Information is also received from other schools when pupils transfer. The Local Authority will receive information on children/young people from the school/education establishment. Upon receipt of the information, the School and Local Authority becomes the data controller. We have CCTV systems in key locations for safety and the prevention and detection of crime. Signs are prominently displayed notifying you that CCTV is in operation and providing you with details of who to contact for further information about them. We will only disclose CCTV images to third parties for public safety and the prevention and detection of crime. The information collected is used to safeguard children and young people and to ensure appropriate contact details are available to contact parents/guardians. The school and Local Authority also uses the information it collects to do research. It uses the results of the research to make decisions on policy and the funding of schools, to calculate the performance of schools, and help them to set targets.View full schoolQuoteLink to commentShare on other sitesMore sharing options...
