Ysgol Hafod Lon is highly respected in the community and beyond. This is due to the hard work and dedication of all the staff, leadership and encouragement from the board of governors, and mainly the support and encouragement of parents.
If you are considering a place for your child at the school you need to know as much as possible about the school, the first place to look is the school’s prospectus. However, you can visit a visit to the school would give you a better understanding of the ethos, goals, and curriculum that is offered. We are more than happy for you to visit the school, either on your own or with your son/daughter. You are also welcome to re-visit or phone if you have any questions or concerns.

We take pride in being a lively and happy community where everybody is appreciated as an individual and treated with respect. We are committed to providing educational experiences of high quality to all our students. Ysgol Hafod Lon has joined Gwynedd Healthy Schools Scheme. As part of the work to develop Personal and Social Education at the school, it is a requirement to present lessons on Sex Education and relationships throughout the school. The purpose of this handbook is to share information for you regarding what will be presented to the children.
Understand the reasons for the physical and emotional changes that occur during adolescence including reproduction and birth. Understand their personal feelings and emotions and those of others. Increasingly take responsibility for keeping the mind and body safe and healthy. Understand the importance of personal safety. Understand what action to take or where to turn to when they feel in danger.
