We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. In October 2013 we moved into our brand new building. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the this is our challenge…. as a Church in Wales school, Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl aims to provide, in partnership with all stakeholders, quality education and a breadth of opportunities, so that all pupils reach their full potential.
We aim to provide a happy, caring, and stimulating environment where children will recognize and achieve. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. We endeavor to make them proud of their heritage and the Welsh Language so that they can make their best contribution to society.
The primary purpose of education in Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl is to awaken a love of learning in young people and give them the ability and desire to carry on learning throughout life. “Working together in Harmony.” Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
Preparing our children to reflect on life, nurture and care for one another by developing skills and independence to live happily in a bilingual environment. The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum with a wide range of high-quality learning experiences.
The school is a welcoming, pleasant and caring community, which emphasizes the development of pupils’ health and wellbeing. These tests for Years 2 to 6 take place in May each year. Updated guidance for parents/carers is now available online on the Welsh Government Learning Wales website under ‘ Information for Parents/Carers Years 2-9’.
