We offer outstanding welfare and guidance through our strong house system. This system provides inspiration, opportunity, and a secure and healthy environment. Our students feel a strong sense of identity and belonging, secure in the knowledge that they are known well and supported. We strive to help every student to grow in confidence, be successful, and to contribute effectively and responsibly to society. We particularly look forward to working with you to enable your child to achieve their full potential. We are always keen to speak with prospective new parents at our open events and in person.
Our school's motto 'Proud to Make Success Happen' stems from our values of positivity, respect, open-mindedness, uniqueness, and determination. Uxbridge High School is a dynamic, caring school, which expects high standards of achievement, effort, and behavior from all students. High standards of teaching and learning are at the heart of this success. Lessons are planned which cater to the individual needs of all learners including students with additional needs and the ablest. Staff development is of the highest quality and as a result, empowers our staff to be at the forefront of developments in education and highly effective practitioners in the classroom.
One of the most rewarding aspects of working at Uxbridge High School is the endless amount of opportunities you get to grow and develop as a practitioner. One of the programs on offer is the Teaching Leaders 'Fellow' program. Through the support of the school and this program, teachers received intensive coaching and training that enabled them to support their teams with confidence as well as improving outcomes for students across the school.
At Uxbridge High School, we are committed to all students accessing our rich and balanced curriculum, irrespective of their starting points or special educational need. Through academic study and wider engagement in an exciting range of extra-curricular, enrichment, and extension opportunities, we develop students’ knowledge, understanding, creativity, and curiosity.
We believe that all aspects of school life contribute to our curriculum which in turn equips our students to confidently and proudly take their place in our local community, more widely in modern Britain, and as future global citizens. Our students receive comprehensive and impartial advice and guidance and consequently, are prepared and confident to choose routes in further and higher education, training, and the world of work when they leave us.
