Trellech Primary School is a non-denominational community primary school within the Local Authority of Monmouthshire. Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the Wye Valley between Chepstow and Monmouth, Trellech Primary School was opened in 1987. The school has six large classrooms and one smaller teaching room, each fitted with interactive whiteboards and projectors. Outside each classroom, there are shared practical areas. There are cloakrooms/ changing rooms in KS2 and facilities for the disabled. There is a KS2 library and a renovated ‘Reading Room’ in the Foundation Phase corridor.
Pupils’ understanding and appreciation of environmental sustainability and conservation are further enhanced by the extensive school grounds which contain a pond, willow structures, wildlife, and forest school areas. Recent additions to the outdoor environment have included all-weather fitness trails, extended all-weather surfaces, and environmental areas. We consider Trellech Primary school to be an environment to learn from as well as to learn in.
A large well-equipped hall is utilized for PE, Daily Collective Worship, Breakfast Club, After School Club, school concerts, school functions, and events, Holiday clubs, and as a dining hall. The well-being and holistic development of your child are of paramount importance to us and the school does its utmost to provide a happy and secure environment for all the children in its care.
