Wishford Schools is a family-run group of independent prep schools with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of education and providing the best possible experience to both pupils and parents. Schools in the group benefit from the support of the group’s Executive Team, the expertise of its Director of Strategy and Education, and Director of Compliance, and a vastly experienced Advisory Board. Furthermore, Heads and teachers across the group can share ideas and best practice,

St David’s Prep is a selective school. Informal assessments and interviews for the Reception places are held in the January of the preceding academic year.

The school takes children into the Reception Class full time, at the beginning of the academic year (1st September) in which they become five.

Additional places may be available from Year 1 onwards and we are happy to accept pupils, subject to our usual criteria at any stage during KS1 or KS2.

All prospective pupils will be required to undergo a short interview and informal assessment and ideally spend some time in the classroom. We will also require a copy of their latest school report.

The Wishford Schools team, led by Executive Chairman Sam Antrobus, acts as the school’s governing body. The governing body is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the school, appointing the senior leadership team (and holding them to account), and ensuring regulatory compliance.

At St David’s our experienced and committed staff encourage the children to take the first vital steps of their formal education, laying the foundations for happy and rewarding school life.

Children learn best when they are happy and engaged so education in Pre-Prep is full of fun. Fresh challenges and adventures along the way help our children to discover a love of learning. Our extensive grounds offer lots of space for running around and letting off steam, as well as providing a valuable learning resource.
