Quainton Hall School is a thriving IAPS co-educational Preparatory School dedicated to the education of boys and girls between the ages of 2½ and 13 years.

Children enjoy a broad and inclusive education, firmly centered on the core values of respect, integrity, determination, and humility. With an emphasis on achievement, we believe in setting high expectations, leading by example, and creating a secure, positive, and inspiring learning environment where our pupils can feel challenged and supported to aim high and develop their talents.

Our 11+ and 13+ results are consistently impressive and many of our Leavers gain scholarships to the senior schools of their choice. They also gain results in the top 10% of school children in national competitions such as the Townsend Warner History Prize. The effectiveness of the Early Years Foundation Stage at our Nursery has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

We are fortunate enough to boast first-rate facilities including a recently refurbished swimming pool and Art and Design Centre, an astroturf pitch, a new ICT suite, and modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards.

Quainton Hall is very much a family school where the children come first and where the staff operates an open door policy. Our pastoral care is of paramount importance to us and our approach is rooted in a strong sense of community based on the belief that happy children can achieve great things.

The children are encouraged to make the most of the many opportunities on offer. These include academic challenge, extra-curricular breadth, and a chance to represent the school in music and a range of sports including football, hockey, rugby, cricket, rounders, and netball.

Subject-based trips and residential excursions, both in the UK and abroad further enhance and enrich the education of our pupils, as does the long list of visiting speakers, theatre groups, and authors we welcome to the School each year.

Music and Drama play a major part in the life of the school and the majority of the children learn at least one musical instrument and take part in school productions. We have a range of highly successful musical groups and choirs who perform in public all over the country.
