Pen y Bryn Primary School’s website. We are a small and friendly primary school set on extensive grounds in Llanrumney, East Cardiff. We have just over 260 boys and girls from 3 to 11 years old and are proud to have our excellent Nursery Unit.
Our school motto is simply ‘Pen y Bryn Primary School where children come first because we aim to put children first in all we do. We want everyone in our school community to feel cared for and supported whilst achieving their full potential. We believe strongly in developing the whole child and therefore focus on relationships and wellbeing whilst continuing to pursue excellent standards. We have high expectations for all our children and aim to provide the best environment for learning.
We know that close links between teachers and parents are essential. We want the community to become increasingly involved in the life of the school and look forward to everyone working happily together during their time at Pen y Bryn. Our school vision statement has been created by our whole school community and was reviewed again at the beginning of the school year.
Together we will create a safe, happy and healthy school. Regardless of background or ability, we will be confident learners who don’t give up and work hard to overcome challenges. We will inspire each other to be successful so that we can be proud of our achievements and lead rewarding and fulfilling lives. We will respect ourselves, each other, and the global community. We will all be the best that we can be.
