We are a popular, growing, and successful primary school based on two sites working in partnership with each other as one school. We admit two forms of entry to our West Norwood site on Wolfington road (60) and three forms of entry to our Streatham site on Leigham Court road (90) each year.

Significant partnerships continue each year with the Moving Matters Sports Partnership, CLC Lambeth, The Primary Shakespeare Company, Lambeth Music Service, etc. Each year we work alongside creative practitioners on an aspect of our curriculum. We are also part of the South Lambeth Schools Partnership and Children's University.

We are a high attaining, successful school and offer an outstanding curriculum to our children which is rich and engaging and also prepares them for future life. Our children thrive in the nurturing environment we provide at Julian's.

We were very pleased with our 2016 Key Stage 2 SAT results. Despite the changes, we were able to maintain high standards and very good progress for all children. 86% of our pupils achieved the expected level in reading, 90% achieved the expected level in writing, 83% achieved the expected level in spelling punctuation and grammar, and 83% achieved the expected level in maths. Overall 72% of pupils at JPS achieved the expected level in reading writing and maths combined. This compares to 62% who achieved the expected level in Lambeth and 53% who achieved the expected level nationally.

All staff works together to create a caring, secure, happy, purposeful, and stimulating environment, where each child feels respected and valued and is encouraged to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development.

We aim to be outstanding in every aspect, developing our distinctive ethos and pushing the boundaries of excellence.

The curriculum underpins all that we do and lies at the heart of raising standards. All maintained schools are required to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for children. Class teachers and Early Years Educators work together to plan for the children. Following discussions and informal assessments staff identify children’s interests, strengths, and next steps for learning. Individual portfolios of children’s work are developed over the year to demonstrate progress made in all areas of learning. All curriculum subjects are enriched with themed days, educational visits, and visitors to the school to provide a multi-sensory and experiential approach to learning.
