JFS is a co-educational inclusive, modern, orthodox Jewish school that strives to produce well-educated, faithful, and proud Jews who will be responsible and contributing members of society. JFS is a truly wonderful school. This is clear from our stunning annual public examination results which see us consistently placed in the top five schools in the country outside the independent sector.

JFS has a scale and depth of facilities that enable us to specialize in a wide range of curriculum options. Students can flourish academically and all our staff is subject specialists. Our rigorous curriculum includes not only Art, English, French, Geography, History, Ivrit, Jewish Studies, Mathematics, Music, PE, Science, and Technology but extends to Astronomy, Classical Civilisations, Dance, Drama, ICT, Spanish, and much more.

Our pastoral care ensures we take the time to nurture every child's ability and talent. We pride ourselves in offering a program that enables every child to reach their full potential.

Having relocated to our purpose-built Kenton Campus in 2002, the School serves almost 2100 students aged 11 – 18 in state-of-the-art facilities. Our students come from across London and Hertfordshire and represent the broadest spectrum of the Jewish community. We truly are a school for the whole Jewish community.

Our Sixth Form experience is exceptional and allows students to achieve their potential while preparing them for life after school. We offer the broadest choice of subjects at 'A' Level and provide first-class preparation for our students' futures.

For over 280 years, since 1732, we have provided opportunities that motivate our students to achieve their full potential. We equip them with the skills and confidence to achieve. JFS’s foundation body is the United Synagogue and its religious authority is the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth. Recognizing its historic foundation, JFS will preserve and develop its religious character by the principles of Orthodox Judaism. JFS will strive to connect our Jewish students to vibrant orthodox Jewish life and Torah values, and with the United Synagogue’s core values. These include Living, Learning, and Caring together with a strong belief in the centrality of Israel in Jewish life. JFS aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Jewish belief and practice.

JFS aims to enrich the lives of all its students through the sharing of core Jewish values, which are universal and are appropriate for those of all religions and none. JFS encourages all its students to engage actively in lifelong learning, social and environmental action and consider their responsibilities as future citizens to serve the community. All the students are taught to be knowledgeable and respectful of the beliefs, customs, and practices of others.

JFS prepares its students for lifelong Jewish learning, spiritual growth, and religious practice. JFS’s teaching and learning aim to inspire its students and provide opportunities to engage actively with Jewish texts, to experience and participate in Jewish practice, and to connect with God through tefillah (prayer) and mitzvot (commandments and good deeds). JFS encourages students to articulate their Jewish identity confidently, cultivate a love of, awareness of, and responsibility to Jewish heritage and teachings, and expect that the students will have the opportunity to develop confidence and competence to participate in an Orthodox Jewish service.
