At Haseltine, we aim to create a happy school where the learning atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to high attainment. We believe that children learn in many different ways so we provide opportunities for them to explore, create, research, and investigate. They must find out for themselves rather than being told.

We believe that every child should learn the skills for lifelong learning and be supported to develop as good citizens who contribute fully to their community. For the children to reach their full potential we need to work in partnership with you as parents, carers, and colleagues. Enabling children to be the best learners they can be is important for their life chances.

Our school works in partnership with Fairlawn Primary School. Staff, governors, and children work together to harness each other’s strengths and expertise so that children are offered the best possible education. At Haseltine, we know that every child is a success story we also want every one of our children to become lifelong learners and the best citizens that they can be. We have 3 core values here that feeds into everything we do:

Alongside these 5 core skills are lots of other skills, aptitudes, and qualities that our children, teachers, and parents believe to be incredibly important. The tree represents all of these and underpins everything we believe at Haseltine School.

We will offer the children at Haseltine a balanced curriculum with a wide range of subjects and learning which is personalized to their individual needs. We will provide a curriculum that meets the needs of the academic, personal and social development of each child. We will enable children to make decisions about their learning and have a clear understanding of the next steps. Our curriculum will ensure that our children become independent, enthusiastic, and confident learners
