This website provides you with a glimpse of the excellence and wide range of opportunities we offer at Connah’s Quay High School. We encourage visits to our school – you don’t have to wait for Open Evenings and Open Days – so that you can see for yourself the exciting opportunities we offer.
In the Summer Term before the transfer, steps are taken to ease the transition from primary to high school. Connah’s Quay High School staff visit primary schools to meet with Year 6 learners. The School’s Additional Needs Co-ordinator will also meet with learners with additional needs. Learners are also invited to spend time in Connah’s Quay High School towards the end of the Summer Term before the transfer, with additional visits arranged for children with additional needs if appropriate. This time is spent getting to know some of the staff with whom they will be associated in September, touring the new school and taking part in lessons and other activities.
