Parents want the best possible start in life for their children and choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. All parents will understandably look for a school with the right mixture of high educational standards and an environment where their child can be happy, thrive, and succeed. We believe that Brackla Primary is such a school. Set on Brackla housing estate, on the outskirts of Bridgend town center, we are a lively and friendly school that aims to provide a warm and caring environment where everyone has the opportunity to shine.

In partnership with the governors and parents, the staff works hard to provide opportunities for pupils to reach the highest possible standards in all areas of school life. The curriculum is rich, interesting, and exciting, whilst always offering our pupils challenge. A wide range of physical and creative activities are enjoyed by our children. Pupils are encouraged to work from first-hand experiences which develop their interest and motivate their learning by giving them a sense of purpose for their work. As our pupils develop we encourage them to take responsibility for their learning and in doing so become more independent in thought and action.

Confidence and self-esteem are raised through success and praise for effort and achievement, developing a positive attitude to school and education. We are particularly proud of how we meet the needs of those children who need extra help to achieve their potential and those that are more able. We view education as a joint responsibility between teachers and parents. We believe that the best for your child can be achieved through a partnership between home and school.
