Blakesley Hall is a popular school that was built in 1959 between Richmond Road and Blakesley Road and is bounded by parkland and domestic gardens. The school is named after the nearby Tudor house with which the school maintains close links.

The school has 21 classrooms and a modern well-equipped computer suite. There are two large halls which are used for assemblies, physical education and also school lunches. These are cooked in the school's kitchen and children have a choice of healthy meals each day.

Blakesley Hall is a three-form entry school built on two levels. It caters to over 600 boys and girls aged between 4 and 11 years. The youngest children are on the ground floor of the main building with their play area and toilets close by. The school can admit up to 90 Reception children each year. Each Reception class has a qualified teaching assistant who works closely with the class teacher.

The DfE have recently reinforced the need 'to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance and acceptance of those with different faiths and beliefs.'

Despite this recent expectation here at Blakesley Hall Primary School, this is not something new and the promotion of these values is in much of what we do. This starts with our School Values and ethos and permeates right the way through the curriculum into every part of the school day. As well as actively promoting British values the opposite also applies: we challenge pupils, staff, and parents where opinions and behaviors which are contrary to these values are shown.

We work together to successfully meet the common goal of providing outstanding learning experiences for the children and families we serve. We recognize that the attitude and behaviors of leaders and managers toward all members of the school community are of primary importance. We know enough about each other to appreciate when a bigger purpose is at stake that requires us all to come together to achieve the goal. All staff work with the leaders to create an environment that is productive and where we can all flourish.

Our curriculum is designed to be exciting, engaging, and appropriate to the children in Blakesley Hall Primary School. It covers the requirements of the National Curriculum including English, Maths, Science, ICT, History, Art and Design Technology, PE, Music, and PSHE.
