Our mission is to educate children who are outstanding in every respect. Not only are all pupils encouraged to push themselves in the classroom, on the sports field, in the school play, in the pipe-band, orchestra or choir but to develop excellent social skills and manners which are essential in life.

The curriculum is filled from top to bottom with action-packed lessons, expeditions, musical and drama extravaganzas which ensure that, when the pupils move on to senior school, their shared memories and friendships will last a lifetime.

From a young age, we ensure that each pupil learns the skills of perseverance so they can achieve their own goals along with committing and upholding the wider values of the Ardvreck community.
The shared values of the Ardvreck community have, and will continue, to develop boys and girls who are confident and articulate contributors to society. A communal spirit permeates the school is it at lunch where staff and pupils dine together or at daily, whole school assemblies and congregational singing.
We encourage our pupils to take risks with their learning through the development of a growth mindset. This approach to learning needs a safety net of care which is not only provided by the teachers and matrons but which comes by the pupils themselves, supporting each other through their Ardvreck journey.
Our ethos is to instill the core principles of honesty, sense of duty, and sound moral judgment. We take our responsibilities seriously by teaching each pupil that the umpire’s decision is final and that, in life, being truthful to oneself is one of the most important qualities for success.

Everyone is aware of the emotional and physical benefits of regular exercise and, at Ardvreck, we aim to instill a lifelong commitment to fitness. All staff and pupils head out every afternoon to make use of our fine sporting facilities. Children are coached in a variety of team sports and we regularly play matches against other schools. Ardvreck develops skillful, vigorous, and determined children who put the good of the team before themselves and who are modest in success and gracious in defeat.
