The University of Malakand is one of the public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, being established through a charter issued by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 30, 2001, and is recognized by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The University has been working sincerely towards the attainment of excellence as well as character-building and to inculcate in its students the spirit of inquiry, research, dedication, and zeal so that they will be able to bring prosperity to the country.
The vision can be materialized through commitment, hard work, and respect. Equally important is to provide a congenial atmosphere for character-building, inculcating the spirit of inquiry and critical thinking among students. The students must learn to labor and to wait. The responsibility of the university administration is to facilitate the learning process by maximizing the utilization of the available resources. Our university has taken long strides in promoting teaching and research since its establishment in 2001. With more than sixty degree programs including M. Phil and Ph.D., we believe that we can offer many other market-based courses that would significantly contribute to the knowledge economy.
