St Hilda's College is a residential community of The University of Melbourne where every member belongs. The College motto, 'Communitas', or belonging to a community in feeling, represents St Hilda's core values. Our community will help you develop as a person and as a student, and our main goal is to help you get where you want to go. St Hilda's is known for its friendliness and acceptance, where all students are encouraged to become involved in college life through the many activities our College provides.
Pastoral and academic support is an essential feature of college life. Our experienced tutors and senior academic advisors play an active role in the College community. Feedback from our students year on year shows college tutorials, and the advice from staff and senior students helped them adjust to university life and excel in their studies.
College is a launching pad into adult life. Leaving home and the disciplined order of school, you will be surrounded by staff and other students committed to helping you make the transition into life as an adult and a university student. We have fantastic facilities to live in and enjoy fabulous food and interesting people, but you will also find various extracurricular activities to immerse yourself in.
