More than 14,000 strong, Curry alumni take their unique experiences to heart and express their excellence in ways that strengthen their families, communities, workplaces, and the world. You will find them employed in organizations large and small, developing the next generation of leaders in the classroom, caring for patients in operating rooms and healthcare facilities, spreading news and entertainment in front of the camera and behind the microphone, volunteering at locations around the world or even winning the Indy 500. More than 2,000 undergraduates and 1,400 continuing education students, and over 300 graduate students, pursue their passions and fulfill their dreams by studying at Curry. Eighty-five percent of first-year students and nearly 75 percent of all undergraduates choose to live on campus. Many also work/intern part-time or full-time while attending Curry College classes.
Curry College faculty members welcome you into our academic community, empower you to excel, and dedicate themselves to your success. In our small classes, they know you by name and create individualized opportunities to learn and grow. They also encourage you to get involved - ask questions, search for knowledge, participate in discussions, and build on your strengths.
Curry offers a variety of activities and events for students, many that have become traditions on campus. To begin the year, Welcome Week has become an annual celebration to welcome both new and returning students. During the week, events have included a visit from an ice cream truck with free ice cream, a BINGO night, various novelty events like tie-dye shirts or spin-art frisbees, and entertainers such as mentalists or comedians. Similarly, Winter Week takes the cold out of winter to welcome students back in the spring semester. This series of events has included an open skate night at Ulin Rink, karaoke, and other fun activities.
Other traditions throughout the year include Late Night Breakfast to mark the end of classes each semester. If you enjoy friendly competition, compete or watch the annual Powder Puff flag football game featuring competition between females in each class or see Curry students take on each other in competition for the Battle of the Classes. As the weather gets warm, students look forward to Spring Weekend each April. Spring Weekend is a three-day event that features the annual Mr. Curry competition, various outdoor activities, a fantastic dance party in Miller Field House, and more! The Big Bang talent show also happens each April and features dancers, poets, and music.
Are you looking for weekend activities? The Stu After Dark series in the Student Center showcases live music, comedy, game nights, and more every Friday night or come dance the night away on a Saturday night at a Glow Paint Party scheduled regularly each semester.
If you want to take a trip off-campus, purchase tickets at a discounted rate to visit regional destinations and take advantage of area attractions through Curry Up and Go. Trips have included Martha's Vineyard, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics games, theatre shows in Boston and Providence, Six Flags New England, snow tubing, white water rafting, and New York City. Through Curry Up and Go, students can purchase advance tickets at a discounted rate to the New England Aquarium and the Museum of Science and go at their leisure.
