The Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University is a robust regional research and education center. 7 faculties of the university offer education in agro-biotechnology, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, ecology, law and linguistics, post-diploma training, preparatory courses, and extension courses. The university hosts five research institutes, 13 research laboratories, Institute of post-diploma education for managers and specialists in veterinary medicine, Institute of European Integration, Education and Research Institute of Economics and Business, eight colleges, research establishments, and production enterprises. The total number of students is more than 10000.
Foreign citizens arriving for studying in Ukraine often face various problems. Dean's office is readily available to assist students in solving the majority of them. The students are strongly recommended to familiarize themselves with the offered information. We hope that these recommendations will help them to avoid unnecessary difficulties and complications. One should remember that all international students should abide by the Laws of Ukraine and the Internal Regulations of the University and Campus, and the University's Code of Conduct. International students should attend classes, do their home assignments on time, have a regular refreshment, and rest and participate in the students' community's social life. The students must study at home, attend language-labs, and consult with professors and tutors daily.
The university's power is its teaching staff, among them Honored Workers of Science of Ukraine, Honored Workers of Education and Higher Education, Honored Workers of Agriculture, winners of state and academic awards. Today, the university's education is provided by 12 academicians, 56 doctors, professors, and 286 PhDs; they contribute to ensuring the competitiveness of the graduates of our university. High-quality professional education is based on current programs and methods, a combination of theoretical and practical training. Together with European universities, we successfully implement the standard education programs with a double diploma.
The university has all the necessary conditions for the students' creative and physical development (sports and creative section). Students are active participants in the contests "The Best Student of the Year", "The Best Student of Bila Tserkva," "The smartest student of the town".

The Bila Tserkva national agrarian university is a team of highly qualified professionals. We have big plans for the future, and we will implement them together. We believe that the years of study at our university will be useful and bright and memorable for you.
The material facilities consist of 10 buildings, modern equipment, an information center, library (550000 books) with three subdivisions and four reading halls. In modern resource centers, the students and teachers have access to the Internet and international information system AGRIS. There are nine student hostels, four canteens, four cafeterias. The university has its printing unit for the production of textbooks, manuals, monographs, periodicals.
The University researchers work on developing highly efficient production technologies for cereals, fodder crops, and potatoes. They draft and produce preparations for animal disease prevention and treatment and work on animal reproduction problems. Our scientists took part in the elaboration of the Land Code of Ukraine, the projects of profitable use of land resources, and other laws of Ukraine.
The university maintains its cultural traditions. There are up to 20 amateur groups. Sports take an essential place in the students' life. Our students are the prize winners of the XXVI Olympic Games, World and European champions in sambo, judo, high jump, and cycle racing.
The new challenges lie before the university – to raise agricultural science and education quality, revise their content and form, widely introduce the innovations and information technologies in the education, and inherently combine the education and research into the European education system.
The practical training of the students also needs to be improved. For highly qualified professionals, education and production centers are created based on the Education and Research Centre. The center's total area is 1716,9 ha, including arable land – 1123,5 ha, hayfields – 12,1 ha, pastures – 85,2 ha, perennial plantings – 74,9 ha, forests – 270,5 ha. The centre has become a training ground for students and innovative technologies in crop production and animal husbandry.
The universities have 29 priority directions for international scientific cooperation, which will be realized via the programs like EU FP7, TEMPUS, Fulbright, NASEE (aquaculture centers of Central and Eastern Europe), Interstate research program of veterinary parasitology for 2006-2012, individual mobility grants and programs.
From the short-term perspective, we shall apply every effort to acquire our National University a National Research University status. This will become a strong impetus for new thinking, creativity, and cardinal changes in professional education.
