Sampoerna University is an educational institution of the Sampoerna Schools System of Indonesia. As an international university in Indonesia that operates under the Putera Sampoerna Foundation auspices, the Sampoerna Schools System aims to build and operate a system of schools that brings a complete range of high-quality international education to Indonesia.
Sampoerna University operates programs under the licensure and credentialing authorities of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. Set up with national and international standards, Sampoerna University is uniquely qualified to make substantive contributions to society through education.
Sampoerna University is more than just a campus — it is a learning community that prepares students to succeed academically and professionally. Here, students will not only learn and acquire academic rigor—they will be challenged to think, perform, and grow to a more advanced level. With our programs, students are assured of having better skills and credentials to open the doors to both national or international careers after they graduate.
The university's vision is to be a sustainable, internationally-recognized university, inspired by the philosophy of the Putera Sampoerna Foundation (PSF), to create a better future for Indonesia. The university's mission is to educate future leaders who will demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
More than just a campus, Sampoerna University is an academic community committed to creating new knowledge and the nurturing of Indonesia's young minds. We are the only university in Indonesia that thoroughly teaches its courses in English. The credits you earn can be transferred to many universities overseas. We offer three types of programs that lead to the awarding a bachelor's degree or more in Indonesia, the U.S., or other countries.
Our curriculum is established in collaboration with key industry players and practitioners so students can transition smoothly into the workplace. Our Pathway to the U.S. and the Double Degree Program from our university partners offer the most considerable cost saving as you can start or complete your bachelor's degree in Jakarta. Our three-layer support of an academic counselor, Student Parent Advisory Center (SPAC), and student counselor ensure you get the help you need to transition into student life. Our campus houses world-class facilities designed in collaboration with our U.S. partners. Our engineering and design labs are among the best in the country.
