Universidad Veracruzana (UV) is a public higher education institute located in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, and distributed through five campuses, Veracruz-Boca del Río, Orizaba-Córdoba, Coatzacoalcos-Minatitlán, Poza Rica- Tuxpan, and Xalapa. Founded in 1944, UV has, from its conception, held a strong social vocation and commitment to Veracruz's community, responding to the needs of regional development.

Offers formal and non-formal education to both local and visiting academic staff and students in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign language, Spanish language to all levels, and a vast range of courses on Mexican history, art, and culture.
