Our mission is to provide high-quality educational programs in an active Christian environment that equips and empowers students to reach their full potential and influence the world for good. We promote a culture of honor & respect for all people, providing a safe place for students of all backgrounds and cultures. Partnering with parents/guardians is critical to our College, and we aim to strengthen the family unit by providing pastoral care, counseling, and teaching Christian values to students and their families. We would be delighted to have you come and visit us to see our great school. Townsville Christian College has four fundamental values that guide everything we do:

• To train and equip students to become more like Christ by reflecting His attributes while walking in humility and grace. Students understand and are inspired by Jesus’ servant ministry and practice it through acts of kindness, generosity, encouragement, leadership, justice, and citizenship.
• Our students are encouraged to consistently be the best they can be for Christ, reaching for their God-given potential, serving others passionately, all the while bringing honor and glory to God.
• To honor is to esteem and think of others and self highly. We encourage our students to develop and maintain a culture of honoring God, each other, our College, and the community through determination, persistence, courage, integrity, respect, courtesy, resilience, and confidence.
• To provide a safe place for students of all backgrounds and cultures by developing and maintaining an all-inclusive attitude toward others and their differences. An attitude and willingness “to do whatever it takes.” Pushing through personal limitations and believing for God’s very best in all circumstances.

Our growing school (Prep to Year 9) currently operates multi-level classes. The College has developed a safe, caring environment that encourages healthy learning opportunities by using quality and innovative teaching strategies. Townsville Christian College encourages and develops a spirit of co-operation amongst parents/guardians, students and staff, working together to pursue excellence and accept responsibility for nurturing, teaching, and learning.

Teachers at Townsville Christian College work hard to cater to a broad range of learning abilities through flexible groupings, including individualized learning plans, various tasks, learning opportunities, flexible curriculum planning, and the use of various resources that meet the differing learning styles.

Townsville Christian College’s curriculum has a firm Biblical foundation and is vibrant, and opens the door to lifelong learning. Christian content is integrated throughout the subject areas. We emphasize the importance of basic literacy and numeracy while encouraging students to engage with ideas and information to assist their understanding and appreciation of knowledge. We do not see Christian education as a separate learning area but rather an integral part of the holistic learning experience.

Our curriculum encompasses subjects from the Australian Curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography), with the remainder of subjects coming from the Queensland syllabus.
