By Decision of the National Assembly on May 26, 2015, College of Telecommunications and Post was transformed into University of Telecommunications and Post, with activity: training of graduates in higher education specialties from professional directions "Communication and computer equipment "and "Administration and Management. "

Higher School College of Telecommunications and Post is the successor to the State School of Telegraph, established by decree of the prince (knyaz) Alexander I of December 31, 1881. In 1923 by decree № 60, Tsar Boris III approves the law on the school's opening for the practical and theoretical study of telegraphic and post office. On March 12, 1941, King Boris III by Decree approved the Law on State telegraph and postal school. This school's primary goal is to prepare officials for the General Directorate of the Ministry of Post and electricians for the army.

The current training courses, the creative approach to learning, the synthesis of managerial expertise and the information technology put in place, the outstanding lecturers teaching innovations in the management activity, the efficient solutions, and rapid professional fulfillment after their completion are evidence that the specialty "Management and Information Technology in Telecommunications and Post "is on the wave of acceptable standards in management training. Our students' feedback is that they are competent, responsible, proficient in modern IT technologies, and able to find solutions and implement innovations in the management activity.

The Faculty of Telecommunications and Management (FTM) is a new structure created in 2015 after transforming the College of Telecommunications and Post into the University of Telecommunications and Post. It brings together three departments:

  • Department "Telecommunications "
  • Department "Information Technology "and
  • Department "Management in communications.

The Faculty of Telecommunications and Management provides training to students in six bachelor's three master's programs in professional fields 5.3 "Communications and computer equipment "and 3.7. The scientific research in FTM is aimed at professional fields undergoing training in the faculty and related scientific fields. It is carried out in laboratories equipped with modern equipment, and the results are presented at national and international scientific forums and the annual conference of UTP.
