Prescott College Southern provides a warm, caring environment where all children can relate positively to students, staff, and other adults. It recognizes each individual's uniqueness, and priority is given to helping every student develop academically, socially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically to the fullest extent possible. Prescott College Southern School will give students opportunities to:

  • Participate in a differentiated curriculum
  • Develop the academic ability to their maximum potential
  • Mature in physical skills
  • Make positive social adjustments
  • Build lasting peer relationships
  • Cultivate critical thinking and problem solving
  • Grow in Christian values
  • Create a sense of pride in themselves and their learning environment
  • Learn in a balanced environment where their natural abilities will be challenged

Prescott College Southern is proud of its size. We currently have an enrolment of approximately 570 students. The small school focus enables students to enjoy close personal contact with the teachers and fellow students. We average 25 students per class in the Primary and Middle School. This enables staff to give each child the attention required in the implementation of a differentiated curriculum.

The Mission of Prescott College Southern is to promote a redemptive relationship between each student and Jesus Christ and to facilitate academic excellence and enjoyment in a caring disciplined learning environment. Prescott College Southern offers a program based on God's Christian philosophy of being the Earth's creator and savior. The fundamental premise upon which our educational philosophy is based on the belief that the gospel touches every aspect of life. The educational program in this school is designed so that the redemptive and restorative power of the gospel may become a reality in students' lives, pervading all aspects of their living.

Prescott College Southern was first established as Noarlunga Districts Adventist Primary School in 1977. For many years it was a two-teacher school with enrolments primarily made up of Adventist children from the local area. In 1991 the school name was changed to Prescott Primary Southern. A focussed differentiated curriculum was developed, and children from the local community increased substantially, making up most of the school enrolments. In 2012, we welcomed the addition of the middle school students as we migrated towards becoming an R-12 school and changed our name to Prescott College Southern. Our current enrolment is approximately 570 students.
