At MBC, our students are encouraged to extend themselves intellectually and strive to achieve - whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or the stage. For a young girl to grow into a woman capable of dealing with life's challenges, they need a school experience that allows them to have both a breadth of mind and heart depth.

Moreton Bay College has a long tradition of educating girls. The college was founded in 1901 by Miss Alison Greene and her sister Anne. The college has had a strong philosophy of educating the whole person – body, mind, heart, and spirit. The focus on academic excellence, underpinned by a rich and caring pastoral program, serves as the foundation of our girls' educational experience. This is coupled with a vibrant and robust co-curricular program across visual and performing arts, cultural activities, and a wide range of sports.

Girls need an environment that gives both boundaries and freedom to explore and experiment, take risks, debate, and challenge. Moreton Bay College provides this. Our outstanding teaching staff strives to ensure girls achieve their personal best, embrace the opportunities to develop as leaders, volunteer, develop the courage to overcome, and act with integrity. As a single-sex College for girls, they are free to be themselves and build resilient and robust self-esteem.

Choosing a school can be one of the most challenging and difficult decisions a parent can make. While this can seem overwhelming, it is worth remembering that it is an investment in your child's future. I believe you can feel a great school, and it is only by visiting Moreton Bay College that you will get a feeling for the values and culture present. As a Christian school in the Uniting Church tradition, our school is committed to fostering our students' personal, moral, and academic growth through Engagement's school values. We live and learn with passion, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness. We embrace innovation and creativity to contribute to and shape the future. We act with integrity and goodwill in all that we do. We show courage and resilience. We care for ourselves, others, and the environment. We nurture the best in each other. We are open-minded and respectful towards each other. We work collaboratively to achieve our common purpose.

Established in 1901, Moreton Bay College has witnessed much change while maintaining the core values and traditions established by our Founders, the Greene sisters. What was once primarily a boarding school with an enrolment of 26 in Wynnum's small seaside town, today is a thriving P-12 day school on Wondall Road, Manly West.

Conversations with Moreton Bay "Old Girls" of all ages reveal what a special place this school was for them. The college feels that it is essential to acknowledge its rich past and maintain the Greene sisters' standards while also looking forward and embracing change. Moreton Bay College takes great pride in its history. The College Archives, established in our Centenary Year of 2001, is how the college preserves, records, and communicates its history. The resources are accessed by a wide variety of the college and the wider community members.

A significant focus of the celebration of the college's history is the annual Founders' Day Service. Attended by Years 4 to 12, along with special guests, the service allows the College community to reflect upon, give thanks for and celebrate the establishment of our outstanding school in 1901.

By providing a challenging, supportive, and inspiring learning environment based on Christian principles and beliefs, Moreton Bay College seeks to develop in each girl intellectual and social confidence, integrity, adaptability, humility, and an active sense of responsibility for self, others, and our world.

Our Vision, The Moreton Bay Colleges, will be acknowledged as leaders in single-sex education, nurtured and guided by our shared values and shared philosophy. Together we are stronger. In pursuit of our vision, we are committed to the ongoing development of enquiring and creative minds in safe and supportive, single-sex learning contexts guided by Christian principles and beliefs.

As Christian colleges in the Uniting Church tradition, we are deeply committed to fostering our students' personal, moral, spiritual, and academic growth and their interest in serving the community. The Moreton Bay Colleges are active in pursuing the following values through word and deed.

Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys' College recently launched its first joint Strategic Plan, guiding the Colleges through 2018. The launch of the joint Strategic Plan supports the two school's Master plans. The key strategic priorities identified through the plan include:
