At MBBC, our college students are encouraged to extend themselves intellectually and strive to achieve whether this is in the classroom, the playing field, or the stage. For your son to grow into a man capable of dealing with life's challenges, he needs a school experience that allows him to become, as our motto suggests, life adventurers and life achievers! As a father of two boys attending Moreton Bay Boys' College, it is essential for me as my sons become men, they ask challenging questions, think critically, develop research skills proven to help them in higher education, and are encouraged to be active in their communities to take their learning beyond academic study. College is the right place for them to be!

Moreton Bay Boys' College has a strong philosophy of educating the whole person-body, mind, heart, and spirit. A rich and caring pastoral program underpins the focus on academic excellence. This is coupled with a rich co-curricular program to engage your son across visual and performing arts, cultural activities, and a wide range of sports.

Boys need a learning environment that gives both the boundaries and the freedom to explore and experiment, take risks, debate, and challenge! Moreton Bay Boys' College provides this. Our outstanding teaching staff strives to ensure that your son will achieve his personal best, embrace opportunities to develop as a leader, volunteer, develop the courage to overcome, and act with integrity. As a single-sex college, your son is free to be himself and build resilient and robust self-esteem. Like our sister school, Moreton Bay College, Moreton Bay Boys' College has a strong tradition in single-sex education. We are also a young and dynamic school embracing innovation and change. This creates an exciting learning environment for your son to thrive.

The Moreton Bay Colleges will be acknowledged as leaders in single-sex education, nurtured and guided by our shared values and shared philosophy. Together we are stronger. At Moreton Bay Boys' College, we strive to be a leading internationally-minded school that offers its boys an innovative, broadly based educational experience. Our philosophy is built on the foundation of Christian values. It aims to develop each boy's critical thinking and individual abilities, equipping them with the skills necessary to be successful, productive, and responsible global citizens.

Moreton Bay Boys' College is an independent boys' school conducted within the Christian traditions of the Uniting Church in a brother/sister relationship with Moreton Bay College, a single-sex school for girls. During the 1990s, families of Moreton Bay College (MBC) and the broader community who live in Brisbane's bayside suburbs had sought a local boys-only school that replicated the ethos and culture of MBC and provided an equivalent educational experience for their sons. Subsequently, Moreton Bay College and the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) agreed, making possible the establishment of Moreton Bay Boys' College. A separate, not-for-profit company, Moreton Bay Boys' College Ltd (MBBC Ltd), which owns and operates the College, was incorporated on 10 April 2003. As the first independent boys' school to be established within Brisbane in some 65 years, the establishment of Moreton Bay Boys' College was a defining moment in history.

The school presented the opportunity for families from Brisbane's eastern suburbs – and increasingly further afield – to benefit from a combination of enduring values and an innovative approach to teaching and learning. The school opened in 2003 with Preschool and Year 1 on vacant land at MBC. In 2004, MBBC moved to its permanent home at 302 Manly Road, Manly West with Preschool, Year 1, and Year 2. Years 3 – 5 were added in 2005, Years 6-9 in 2006, Year 10 in 2008, and Year 11 in 2009, with the first Year 12s graduating from the College in 2010. The College will continue to expand until it reaches a maximum capacity of between 750-800 students. MBBC celebrated ten years as a College in 2014 with family pavers and a time capsule buried on the campus.

The MBBC curriculum is designed and tailored to provide a seamless transition for each boy, with the end goal that every student achieves his desired post-school destination. This is achieved by broadening the boys' experiences through an innovative, relevant, and engaging curriculum. BBC's curriculum is designed around the specific, distinctly different ways boys think and learn, and the emotional support they need to maximize their potential.

We believe our boys should be able to engage in a wide range of academic and co-curricular endeavors and be free to express themselves in a way that is not limited by stereotypes. An all-boys environment also allows us to develop our resources towards boys' particular needs, from the books they prefer to read to larger sized classrooms, high levels of technology, and large, open spaces in which to play and build relationships. Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who are experts in boys' education committed to providing quality, innovative education and positive role modeling and mentoring.

We select teachers passionate about working with boys and who value and understand the specific way boys learn. Our staff sit on panels, belong to professional associations, speak at educational forums, and are committed to ongoing professional development. Many have Master's degrees and doctorates. We have several specialists who are leaders in their chosen fields. Our combination of youth and expertise, commitment, and passion, is instrumental in our offering. Your son will receive a world-class education because we love what we do. We strive to help your son be his very best by always giving our very best.
