We are committed to achieving the highest teaching levels from our staff and academic potential from our students. Meridian School is a registered and accredited independent School, which operates two campuses, Adelaide and Mt Gambier. With one central administration, the campuses work in close cooperation, sharing expertise, professional learning opportunities, and resources. A self-directed learning approach provides a lifelong foundation for learning and prepares students for tertiary education and the workplace.

During the early 1990s, several Christian parents developed educational facilities that catered for students from years seven to twelve. These became registered independent schools fully accredited by the relevant government authorities. With the School now having extended learning programs to encompass primary and secondary year levels, this progress has continued. From the School's beginning to today, dedication to the principle of 'Learning to Learn' continues as our motto. We are equipping our students with the ability to think critically, process information perceptively, analyze data accurately, and evaluate situations intelligently as part of their education and fulfillment of their potential.

Meridian Schools deliver a curriculum that:

  • Meets the requirements of the national curriculum.
  • Is designed to maximize student's abilities and academic achievement. The curriculum aims to meet all pupils' needs and provides an opportunity for at least good or exceptional progress.
  • Is underpinned by Curriculum Support Manuals and detailed Schemes of Work.
  • Focuses on a core range of subjects and mediums of teaching which facilitate our ethos and our' learning to learn' vision, including the skill of Self Directed Learning, development of Higher Order Thinking Skills, and the creation of Leadership Skills.
  • It is designed to foster the pupils' social development and provide an opportunity for benefiting the wider community.
  • Gives a pupil's experience in linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technological, human, social, physical, and creative education.
  • Educates pupils with the opportunity given for further study using self-directed learning. Students are encouraged to become self-motivated leaders, engaging in deep learning, developing as team players in a rich learning environment.
