Melton Christian College is a Christian College catering for children from Prep to Year 12. We exist to support parents in their God-given task of educating their children. Melton Christian College employs committed Christian staff who care for each child. A high standard of discipline is maintained, and we strive to instill courtesy and respect into our students. There is an emphasis on every student working to their full potential, and we aim for the highest standards possible in core subjects such as Mathematics and English. Parents are informed of their child's progress regularly.
OUR VISION Melton Christian College provides excellent Christ-centred education in a caring and nurturing environment, equipping students to reach their full potential in Christ.
In 1985, Melton Christian Fellowship established Melton Christian Academy as a Christian primary school catering to all Christian people's educational needs in the Melton Community. Melton Christian Academy commenced operating in the Scout Hall in Henry Street, Melton. The initial intake included students from Prep to Year Four.
The school moved to its present location in Brooklyn Road in February 1986, when the building program's first stage was completed. Melton Christian Academy became a complete primary school, Prep to Year 6, in 1987. In 1995, the school officially changed its name to Melton Christian College.
1996 saw the introduction of the secondary school, which grew year by year and saw VCE classes' introduction in the year 2000. In 2001, Year 12 commenced. Currently, Melton Christian College provides a complete Prep to VCE education with a Christian foundation. It is part of a growing education sector in Australia, that of low-cost, Christian, independent schools. We have associated with Christian Education National as well as Independent Schools Victoria.
The College is a non-denominational, co-educational Christian school that offers education from Prep to Year 12. We exist to support parents in their God-given task of educating their children and focus on partnering with parents and guardians to nurture children in the Christian faith and fulfill our purpose, which is to provide Christian education for the children of families who desire that special education and who are supportive of the College's Christ-centered vision and purpose. We invite parents to enter into a partnership with the College to provide a safe, caring, Christian community for students to learn and thrive and become contributing members of society, confident in who they are and in their relationship with God.
