At Örebro University, we are convinced that students can and want to take responsibility for their learning. We invest in physical and digital settings, which stimulate active learning for our students and our employees. Our teaching rests upon scientific and well-tried experience, and the connection with research is vital. Our researchers are actively engaged in teaching as well as in designing courses and degree programs. We strive for education where discussion, openness, and reflection are promoted. Teaching is developed through regular collegial interaction, an integrated part of the schools' quality efforts. Our strategic initiatives are based on the fact that research results should benefit society through collaboration, a goal well-defined in the Higher Education Act.

We work to ensure society benefits from the knowledge and opportunities we create. It is essential too that we reflect society's needs and interests through our work and development. One way we do this is through our partnerships across the business, public, and voluntary sectors. They are partnerships powering interesting, exciting, and creative possibilities. Possibilities for us. Possibilities for you.

Örebro University's research spans no less than 36 different subjects across the humanities and social sciences, medicine and health, and science and technology fields.
