In partnership with the United Methodist Church, Kentucky Wesleyan College fosters a liberal arts education that nourishes and prepares students intellectually, spiritually, and physically to achieve success in life.
The success of every student is our top priority. Every course we offer and every experience on campus leads you to one goal – graduation.
As a new student, you will begin a personalized journey the day you arrive on campus. We will help you create a unique roadmap for college success with academic, social, and extracurricular goals. Inside and outside the classroom, you will experience the encouragement of a close-knit community committed to your well-being and long-term success, and our vibrant, welcoming campus will offer you exciting social, service, and leadership opportunities.
At Kentucky Wesleyan, we believe in education beyond the textbook, the computer screen, or the written exam. Leaders of the next generation have been educated with a broad view of how relationships matter in our world's overall success.
Kentucky Wesleyan College is more than the classroom — it is a community. When you come here, you will develop lasting bonds and lifelong friendships, and with more than 30 organizations and clubs, you will have every opportunity to get involved in something new.
We sponsor activities from intramural sports to an active Greek scene to comedy and movie nights. We do campus community service projects and mission trips abroad. Our Student Activities Programming Board brings in comedians, takes trips to places like Cedar Point, host dances throughout the year, and rents out the local movie theatre once a month for a free Midnight Movie.
We will help you find just the right spot to live, whether in a freshman residence hall, apartment-style living for upper-level students, a room on a Greek floor, or off-campus apartments. We will even help you out if you have a problem with your roommate (but you are all perfect, so that will not happen, right?).
Living in a community with other students is one of the many opportunities students have for enhancing their college experience. Kentucky Wesleyan's campus residence halls complement the overall educational program of the College. Experiences in cooperative group living, personal, social, academic growth, and other out-of-classroom educational opportunities, provide essential contributions to students' liberal arts education.
Learning is more than just academics. It is also about relationships. Get to know your professors. These teacher-scholars want to help you succeed. You will find that close relationships with them are among the best advantages of a small liberal arts college. Many will become lifelong friends.
Your professors will challenge you in the classroom and encourage you to push yourself. They will enable you to enhance your learning experience through research, an internship, or study abroad. When class is over, they will relax with you over Jazzman's coffee to discuss common interests and get to know you better.
Outside of class, get involved! Relationships are an essential part of your educational experience. Please get to know others, and allow them to get to know you. Many organizations on campus need student energy and ideas, and community service opportunities abound. And whether you are a student-athlete or just someone who likes a game of Frisbee golf, KWC has opportunities for you to enjoy sports and leisure activities.
The Kentucky Wesleyan College Honors Program's mission is to offer a rigorous curriculum that promotes an engaging curriculum that exceeds a class's standards to enhance research, writing, and creative skills with academic excellence, leadership roles, and service-learning to create lifelong learners.
