Broward College offers a wide range of more than 100 degrees and certificates with day and evening classes—plus an online option. With three campuses and six centers in Broward County, you can achieve your higher education goals without commuting too far from home.
Studying abroad is an academic program that allows students to travel the world while earning credit toward their degree! With Broward faculty-led programs ranging from 1-3 weeks and CCIS study abroad programs ranging from 1-6 months, we are proud to offer students the opportunity to study abroad in nearly 30 different countries.
A scholarship is a financial aid award that, like grants, does not have to be repaid. Broward College offers scholarships based on merit, financial need, athletics, degree choice, and more! Scholarship funding is limited, and completion of the application does not guarantee an award.
In 1957, Florida embarked on a program to create a network of two-year colleges at which Floridians could complete undergraduate education or pursue two-year technical programs leading to the workforce. When the state released its plan, Broward County was not among the highest-priority communities selected for the first wave of construction; however, by 1959, Broward County was placed at the top of the priority list on the Junior College of Broward County was underway.
As Broward College forges into its second half-century of service to Broward County, it does so as one of the nation's largest institutions of its type, with a reputation for pursuing excellence and service to the diverse communities it serves. Broward College now serves more than 68,000 students annually and employs a faculty and staff of more than 2,000.
