    Being the oldest university in Taiwan, established in 1895, the University of Taipei (UT), with more than a hundred years of history in education, has contributed outstanding, influential achievements in the development of the nation. Since its affirmation of reestablishment after August 2013, UT began a significant reform to endeavor for the excellent education with a global view, continue to attract top Taiwanese students and international participants in line with our current mission to be a world-class research university. Many alumni from the legacy colleges and graduate schools have been empowered by our education and have become leaders in their area.
    Offering 53 bachelor, master, and doctoral degree programs in 4 colleges, UT values international diversity, which significantly enriches all students' global view and sets a connecting platform of international career development for future leaders. UT seeks to exert far-reaching knowledge to the world on fields including art, humanity, science, education, public affair, and Kinesiology.
    The mission of the University of Taipei is to develop a student-centered educational environment that supports citizens from Taipei and the world becoming contributors to global wellbeing.
    Following the University merge of two existing campuses in Taipei City, The University of Taipei is restructured in 2013 since 1895 when it was first established and committed to being an international university. The urban-based institute has many defined academic disciplines. It seeks to have a far-reaching knowledge impact on fields, including art, science, education, public affair, and sports science. Many alumni from the legacy colleges and graduate schools before the University merge have been empowered by our education and have become leaders in every area. For the most recent five years, published articles from two campuses have been cited several thousand times internationally, reflecting our academic contribution.
    We are looking forward to strengthening our research in all areas and contributes more to human wellbeing through education. The University of Taipei is located in a vibrant international city Taipei with two campuses located in the city's center and Tien-Mu neighborhood.
