We strive to allow our students to define and develop their artistry. Through the experience and knowledge of teachers and other staff in close dialogue with the professional field, a healthy learning environment and contexts are created for work on opera singing and musical drama that stimulates students and gives them keys to future practical work in the field.

We want to be a clear hub for the development of opera as an art form. Within the framework of Uniarts, the University College of Opera helps create a leading international research environment. The plan is that research and artistic development work will, in the future, constitute a vital element in the work of the University College of Opera and will permeate the college's first-cycle study programs. The college has about 20 teachers, 40 students, and three doctoral students. The University College of Opera offers study programs for singers at first-cycle and second-cycle levels. The premises of the University College of Opera were specially designed to meet the needs of the activities in terms of acoustics, humidity, sound insulation, and stage acting. The premises include the college's studio theatre, two-stage rehearsal rooms, a dance studio, and several studies and practice rooms.

Stockholm University of the Arts (Uniarts) provides education and research in circus, dance, film, media, opera, and performing arts. With our unique composition of education and artistic research, we want to create new opportunities for tomorrow's societal development and knowledge. At Uniarts, you will find an attractive study and work environment, in which we strive to achieve a broad recruitment of students and employees. With the flourishing environment for artistic research, we have unique opportunities to deepen the study programs and create collaborative transdisciplinary projects. Together we create dynamic meeting places for independent artists, educators, and researchers in dialogue with the society around us, both nationally and internationally. Stockholm University of the Arts was established in 2014 when DOCH the School of Dance and Circus, the University College of Opera, and the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts merged. We have about 500 students and 250 employees.
