Kristianstad University is an international, progressive, and open-minded university. We keep a close relationship between teaching staff and students and integrate studies with a large proportion of practical work.
Kristianstad University welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, domestic students from all around Sweden, and international students from all over the world. There are two categories of international students: non-exchange students and exchange students.
Kristianstad University (HKR) is small but, at the same time, a large university in southern Sweden. The University is gathered on one campus situated just 10 minutes from the town center of Kristianstad.
Kristianstad University was founded in 1977, but we can trace our roots back to 1835 and start the teacher's training. We are proud of our 14,000 students and the diversity they represent. Our keywords are openness, curiosity, and respect.
Each year Kristianstad University offers several scholarships to qualified students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
The scholarship will be awarded to citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA to pay tuition fees for Kristianstad University studies. If granted a scholarship, it will include a full or partial reduction of the tuition fee.
The University is a public authority whose activities are governed by several laws and ordinances, such as the Higher Education Act and the Higher Education Ordinance. In addition to these laws, some local rules and regulations apply to Kristianstad University.
Kristianstad University uses both itslearning and email to communicate with the students.
