The UOC's has been the University's hallmark since its beginnings. It was created to offer an effective solution for the educational needs of people engaged in lifelong learning and to optimally leverage the potential offered by the internet to learn in a flexible environment. The UOC Strategic Plan is the road map that accompanies the University's strategy and prioritizes decision-making.
The UOC's current strategic plan encompasses the period 2014-2020. It is structured in five areas, which are implemented through 17 strategic objectives. Since its creation, the UOC has been committed to quality, striving to achieve excellence in education services, training, and organizational processes and ensuring its programs' academic rigor.
Since its beginnings, the UOC has been decisive in its commitment to quality and continuous improvement as the cornerstones of its strategy and as a differentiating factor and common feature of its activities. For this reason, the University has established a quality policy and has organized a quality system, defining its processes in line with the continuous improvement cycle, which describes four necessary steps to achieve quality improvement: plan, do assess or review and act accordingly, that is, improve.
