Kristiania University College is located in Oslo, Bergen, and Trondheim. The school is relatively small, both in size and number of students. The small classes emphasize the school's teaching philosophy, which focuses on close interaction between the students, lecturers, and the industry.
Kristiania University College is a progressive college and is mainly concerned with society's need for expertise and knowledge. Within all of the school's disciplines, talented researchers are working to ensure that the latest and most crucial knowledge translates into teaching. By being innovative and creative, the school has, for over 100 years, offering tomorrow's education.
The foundation's purpose is to preserve and develop for society's best as a teaching and cultural institution. By doing so, the foundation also continues the idea of our founder Ernst G. Mortensen. He believed that everyone should be allowed to achieve higher education and personal growth.
With creativity and academic standing, Kristiania University College will offer tomorrow's education today. Kristiania University College has defined four core values that work as guidelines in all of its efforts Practice-oriented, Ambitious, Creative, Tolerant.
Kristiania University School has for the strategy period of 2014-2018 established the following strategic objectives:
Kristiania University College will educate the students for life after graduation. The college will have practice-oriented and research-based teaching, be known for high academic and pedagogical quality, and become leading in the school's disciplines.
The school will be productive and contribute to change and development to benefit people, the environment, and society. The distance between learning and earning will be short, and the college will educate candidates who function well in the industry/sector.
Through our study programs where education and business contact are interrelated, the school will bring students into contact with the practice field as early as possible and prepare them for employment. The education we provide will be job relevant and reflect the development of the business. For Kristiania University College, it is essential to contribute to research-based knowledge and expertise. The research will contribute with new knowledge in teaching, which can form innovation and value creation.
The school aims to educate within the disciplines among Norway's most important value creators, both today and tomorrow. These areas provide society with skills, entrepreneurship, and innovation by education workers for both the public and private sectors, mainly where we see primary societal needs.
The primary goal is to reach a broad group of society, by the foundation's philosophy that everyone should be given more significant opportunities for education and personal growth.
Kristiania University College's primary tasks are research and teaching. We aim to deliver high international caliber research results within our expertise, marketing, management, communication, creativity, and health.
