Currently, Halu Oleo University has 19 Faculties with several Diploma Programs and the opening of a Graduate Program. Since 2007, Halu Oleo University has become an advanced and modern University, following the Government of Indonesia's Soft-Loan Assistance with the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, whose realization began in 2005. The aid will build 8 (eight) new international buildings and rehabilitate 11 (eleven) existing buildings on Kampus Bumi Tridharma. Assistance is also supported by DANIDA (Denmark) for laboratory and polytechnic equipment. Following the vision of Halu Oleo University in 2014 to become an advanced, dignified, academic-cultivated university in shaping comprehensive, sustainable human resources.
Progress can achieve specific values or standards recognized in implementing the "tri dharma" of education and teaching, research and development, and community service. Standards are adjusted to the standards set by the Ministry of National Education. The advanced Halu Oleo University can also be seen/ measured by the quality of scientific works produced, including the academic community's activities in various scientific and community activities at the regional, national, and international levels.
