In December of the previous academic year, you should contact your nearest university to obtain a demand admission préalable (preliminary application for admission) form for registration for undergraduate study in a French university.
Students from outside the European Union who are resident in Europe and have completed at least one semester in a French university, for a national diploma (except for French language courses) or in a European university, can refer to the procedure for students from EU countries.
The university handles the educational part of the application; however, it also checks that it is legally in the country.
All houses, rooms on the university campus or residence halls, and shared apartments must be insured. Student mutual insurance companies also offer cheaper insurance deals than traditional insurance companies.
