ŠKODA AUTO University was founded as the first and the only company university in the Czech Republic. Its founder is ŠKODA AUTO, seated in Mladá Boleslav, one of the most critical and most dynamically evolving companies in the Czech Republic and one of the largest brands of the Volkswagen concern.
An indivisible part of the full-time bachelor study program is the student s' internship. These internships form the fifth semester and are undertaken at ŠKODA AUTO or its suppliers within the Czech Republic. Many students of the follow-on master study program participate in internships while studying part-time, thus gaining theoretical expertise and relevant work experience. Students with an excellent command of a foreign language can apply for internships abroad. Abroad, students usually undertake the internship within the Volkswagen concern or the ŠKODA AUTO group.
ŠKODA AUTO University offers Bachelor's and follow-on Master's degree programs in full-time and part-time modes of study. Our study programs are regularly updated to meet the requirements of today's professions. Learn what you will need!
In both the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, the emphasis is placed on language acquisition, and all students have to study at least two foreign languages, usually English and German. However, they can also select courses in Russian, Spanish, or Chinese. Most courses primarily in the follow-on master study program include the global business environment.
An integral part of our Bachelor's and Master's degree programs is a work placement in the Czech Republic or abroad. In Bachelor's degree programs, internships are included in the 5th semester. For their internships, students choose from different departments within ŠKODA AUTO, other partners of ŠKODA AUTO University, or foreign companies.
Master's degree students can select a three-month work placement as a part of the block of compulsory elective courses. The work placement is intended primarily for students coming from other universities so that they can gain the necessary work experience before completing their studies, which will improve their employment opportunities in the labor market.
The part-time mode of study is designed primarily for students who have full-time jobs. It is organized in a way that allows students to work and study at the same time. The study's core consists of individual student work with the use of study aids provided by the school, prescribed literature, and other information sources. Students communicate with teachers through lectures and, to a small extent, via the Internet and other means of communication.
The first open field of study is the follow-on Master's program, Business Administration and Operations (more about the field of study). You can apply for a full-time or part-time study. In addition to courses focusing on optimization and simulation of production and technology systems, progressive methods of preparation and management of production, students of Business Administration and Operations in Prague can also select courses explicitly focused on information technology and obtain the ICT specialist certificate An internship of three months during the summer period before the summer and winter semester teaching period will increase your chances in the job market! You can take your internship not only within ŠKODA AUTO and our partner companies in the Czech Republic but also in foreign partners with the support of the Erasmus+ program. Choose one of more than 35 partner universities or one of the Volkswagen Group companies!
Students can also study abroad for one or two semesters at our partner universities and undertake internships in businesses within the EU with the support of the Erasmus program. We also support worldwide collaboration, mainly in China and Russia. Also, in collaboration with Steyr University, all students have the opportunity of obtaining a double degree. Furthermore, the university also organizes intensive short-term projects, summer schools, and language courses in collaboration with foreign partners. Finally, both programs can be both studied in English.
