    Karel Englis College, a.s. is a private college that provides education in the cities of Brno and Liberec. The goal of the study program at Karel Englis College is to prepare its students for their professions in management to successfully solve managerial, administrative, financial, and economic problems in small and mid-sized companies. The program also enables the students to work in public administration and services. The advantage of our graduates is their readiness to work in different kinds of business because their study is not limited to a narrowly specialized sphere, but is based on a multidisciplinary formulated study program.

    In addition to significant subjects (Economics, Company Economy, Management), students can also study Law, Informatics, and other subjects related to the study program – see Study plan.pdf. The study program also comprises a language course focused on professional communication. The study is completed by the final state examination consisting of two parts:

    • Bachelor thesis defense.
    • Oral examination of Economics, Management, and Law.

    Graduates are awarded the academic degree "Bachelor" with a Certificate of Final State Exam, the Bachelor's Diploma, and the Diploma Supplement recognizing the EU's study program. Students graduating from Karel Englis College can continue their study in Master's degree programs at both public and private colleges and universities. Graduates can also use their knowledge and skills in the public sphere.

    The goal of the Economics and Law in Business study program is to equip its students with theoretical and practical knowledge for management and expert positions in small and mid-sized companies in all business branches. The program also enables the students to work in public administration and services. The graduates of this program would mainly benefit from knowledge and skills in applied law for business.

    The graduates will master the commercial, financial, and labor law theory and practical application for companies with a focus on concluding commercial contracts, managing insolvency and auction procedures, and also will acquire proper orientation in the world of competition and public contracts.

    The course major, Security Law, and Legalities in Public Administration is a Bachelor's degree study program aimed at preparing professionals (interdisciplinary trained security experts) for positions ranging from the public to the private sector. These positions can range from management in public administration, managers of security in the private sector, executives responsible for needs-specific safety in the business field, qualified security experts on policies within the Czech Republic, and other commercial environments.

    General Knowledge themes and topics of the course focus on general concepts of legal, managerial, economic, and social science disciplines. This branch of study explores a wide range of legal subjects. Required coursework includes foundations of EU law and the international community, as well as how these apply to the Czech Republic, the basic theory of law, the principles of constitutional law, the basics of criminal law, and other courses involving Czech regulations legal system. The knowledge gained will form a basis for building a better understanding of public and private relations, and developing skills and competencies in this area. Managerial disciplines are aimed at application management in areas of crisis management where students will learn about the foundations and theory of security and critical infrastructure protection in dealing with emergencies or crises ( MU, KS), among other issues in this field. Special attention is given to national security, the implementation of measures to ensure the protection of the population against the effects of extraordinary events. Students will acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills, such as how to manage small work teams.

    Karel Englis College, a.s. Has been engaged in providing academic education in Bachelor's programs since it was founded on 31st January 1999. During its existence, more than 1,000 students have completed their studies.

    On 25th November 2011, Karel Englis College, in cooperation with other Czech and Slovak colleges and universities, organized the 6th International Scientific Conference titled "Economics and Law – Synergy or Antagonism?". This conference aimed to reflect and discuss current trends in theory and practice in the broader economic and juridical environment in the Czech Republic and the EU.

    Ing. Karel Englis, a grandson of Prof. Karel Englis, took over the patronage of this conference. The conference also marked the 10th anniversary of the inception of teaching at the College. In the past years, the patronage over the conferences was taken over by various specialists such as the former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, or by deans and vice-chancellors from various Czech and Slovak economic faculties.

    Karel Englis College regularly organizes workshops conducted in cooperation with the students of the College. In these workshops, many distinguished figures of Czech entrepreneurial, banking, and political stages have delivered lectures.

    Karel Englis College regularly earmarks financial resources for the activities of its internal grant agency. College students cooperate on the grants and thus gain experience with the application of their theoretical knowledge in an entrepreneurial environment.
