    Canadian Institute of Technology (C.I.T.), also known as "Instituti Kanadez i Teknologjisë" (SHLUP "IKT"), is owned by C.I.T. ltd., which has education as its primary activity in Albania.

    The establishment of C.I.T. in Albania was based initially on a Memorandum of Understanding with EduNova Consortium, an experienced Canadian Consortium of Colleges providing education at secondary and university levels. Partnerships form of cooperation with Canadian institutions operating in research to better serve this purpose, scientific and educational areas are in progress. In October 2012, a comprehensive cooperation agreement was signed between C.I.T. and Globe University, U.S.A. It was to be materialized with academic and student exchange programs as well as students' transfer and mutual recognition of programs.

    C.I.T. delivers its teaching programs in English, and its curricula meet the requirements and standards of higher education in Europe and North America. Furthermore, teaching at C.I.T. is delivered on suitable premises and by highly qualified domestic academic staff with teaching experience abroad as well as international academic staff, mainly from the U.S.A. and Canada. They have experience in the development and implementation of Business and Information Technology.

    C.I.T. premises are at Zayed Center, which is located at the heart of the Albanian Capital city, Tirana. The Center has sufficient and convenient premises for students and academic and administrative staff alike. C.I.T. has a total surface of 2700 square meters.

    C.I.T. premises provide the required capacities for students. They consist of 1 Conference Room 7 lecturing halls/classrooms six labs (4 computer labs 1 Physics and 1 Chemistry lab) study rooms offices for both academic and administrative staff parking area cafeteria and a fitness room.

    Classrooms are equipped with all the necessary, contemporary, and professional devices such as computers, overhead projectors, etc.

    Studying conditions are complemented by the library, which provides access to an extensive book collection selected for each study program at C.I.T. Library sources, the online network of libraries like McGraw-Hill as well as registrations in various periodical scientific journals are placed at the disposal of C.I.T. students every day of the week. C.I.T. library also offers a wide range of titles, selected following the study programs offered by the institution.

    C.I.T. library also has a capacity for 30 students, six computers, and over 3000 English titles.

     

    University College "Canadian Institute of Technology" is dedicated to preparing students with skills based on quality education, values, and ethics, critical and analytical thinking oriented towards problem-solving, creativity, innovation, and leadership, which they will use to shape their lives, careers, and society at large.

    University College "Canadian Institute of Technology" through the promotion of well-prepared curricula, teaching and research activities as well as the opening of new programs has as its mission the development of students' skills and abilities, promotion of competition and improvement of education by appreciating and respecting cultural diversity and values of Albania.

    C.I.T. expresses its commitment towards this mission in line with goals set below:

    a) Provision of higher education and creative activity in the field of information technology and economics.

    b) Development and advancement of knowledge through teaching and academic activities carried out within the country and abroad

    c) Training of young researchers in the academic evaluation areas of information technology and economics.

    d) Expanding the professional and scientific qualifications of its graduates in the field of information technology and economics.

    e) Conduct research – scientific activities to develop further applications and innovations in information technology and economics.

    f) Providing better higher education opportunities and lifelong learning skills

    g) Contributing to support strategic priorities and the country's developmental interests.
