University August 17, 1945, Samarinda is a private university based in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, which was founded by Education Foundation August 17, 1945, Samarinda on September 27, 1963, in Samarinda. At the beginning of its establishment with the name of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences branch Untag Jakarta, which later became Higher Education August 17, 1945, Samarinda consists of the College of Law Science, Academy of Administration and Commerce and High School Technology, which later changed its name to the University of August 17, 1945, Samarinda. The establishment of the University of August 17, 1945, Samarinda conducted by the Foundation of Education August 17, 1945, Samarinda which was established on Monday, August 6, 1962, for the time specified in front of Resident RADEN NGABEI PRODJOSUMARTO as Notary in Samarinda, which was later confirmed by Deed Number: 33 dated August 6, 1962, Furthermore, it has experienced several changes to the Board of Directors, each with the following Statement of Meeting: Furthermore, the construction of the University of August 17, 1945, Samarinda is technically operational through the Daily Implementation Agency of the Foundation (BPH) or the Private University Administration Agency (BP-PTS), while the Academic Development is done by MoNE in this case, the Directorate General of Higher Education through the Coordinator of Kopertis Region XI Kalimantan. The vision of the university is to become a superior university, independent, and nationalistic. The mission of the university is to organize education (Tridharma) competitive according to stakeholder needs. Organizing education that produces independent graduates. Establish academic people who uphold local wisdom and nationalism. The aim of the university owns superior and professional human resources in the implementation of education. Produce scholars who can work and entrepreneurship under its competence. The establishment of a cultural center with cultural distinctiveness of local wisdom and nationalism. At present, the University of August 17, 1945, Samarinda has five Faculties with seven Study Programs accredited by BAN-PT. Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia and two Study Programs which already have Operating Permits from the Directorate General of Higher Education which consists of faculty of Law Legal Studies Program, Faculty of Social Science and Political Science, State Administration Science Program, Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Study Program, Architectural Studies Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Agrotechnology Study Program, Forestry Study Program.
