Since our opening in 1985, Platt College has been dedicated to the principle that education is the foundation for personal and professional growth and that students should have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. At Platt, our mission is to provide a balanced program of instruction for our students to help them acquire the specialized knowledge and skills they need to take advantage of exciting career opportunities in many of today's in-demand fields. At Platt, we continuously update our offerings to serve students and employers' needs in today's dynamic Southern California business environment. Serving the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas for over 30 years, Platt College offers degree programs to train graduates for careers in the legal, medical, and creative fields. A primary goal of Platt College is to assist all graduates in their job search in the field for which they have been trained. The school maintains an active career services department to assist graduates and current students seeking part-time or full-time jobs while attending school. Students are allowed to pursue job referrals generated by Career Services. A majority of our graduates who seek employment find positions in the field for which they are trained. However, the school cannot guarantee employment. Our Career Services personnel explain and directly assist with our student's job search process. Placement efforts begin on orientation day and continue through graduation and beyond. We believe that the information contained in this guide is accurate at the time of publication. A student may apply to a private lender for a loan to cover education expenses not covered by other program funds. These loans are generally subject to a credit check, and a co-signer may be required. Interest rates on these types of loans may vary and be higher than those charged for the Stafford and Loan Programs. Whether it is your first time in college, returning to college, transitioning from the military, an international student, or another category, we are happy to provide the information applicable to each unique situation.
