St Joseph's Nudgee College, established in 1891, is a day and boarding boys school for Years 5 to 12 located in Brisbane's north. As a Catholic school governed by Edmund Rice Education Australia, the College's policies and practices are informed by the Charter for Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition. Our mission is for our young men to strive in the spiritual, academic, social, personal, cultural, and sporting aspects of life to become Signum Fidei - 'Signs of Faith' for the world. As such, we provide an education that will liberate hearts and minds. More than 1,680 day and boarding students from Year 5 to Year 12 call Nudgee College, their school. As boarders, more than 290 of these students also call Nudgee College their home. All our boys are passionate about their school, learning, and making the most of the many opportunities that Nudgee College provides. As a leading Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition, we have a strong school culture based upon exact values and high expectations. Since its establishment in 1891, Nudgee College has developed a proud reputation as a school where fine young boys grow and develop into outstanding young gentlemen. The holistic education and overall development of each boy is a crucial focus of the College, with a rich diversity of educational opportunities in the classroom, in the pastoral care program, in extensive co-curricular pursuits, faith development, and social justice activities. At Nudgee College, we are privileged to enjoy an outstanding educational, sporting, and cultural facilities, enhancing the school experience. However, while facilities are essential within a school, they are not as important as those who use them.
