  1. Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) is an established State University founded in 1975 to contribute and bring a new breath to the Black Sea region of economic, cultural, and social life. Founded as a regional university and leaving behind 42 years in line with its mission of adopting universal values to bring about innovation to individuals and society, working with intellectual rigor is one of the most vital research and teaching institutions in the country. Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ), named as "May 19, 1919", on which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk set foot on Samsun, has 20 faculties, 23 colleges, 13 vocational schools, five institutes, one conservatory, and 24 applications-research centers. OMÜ with 3 thousand 422 (2217 boy, 1205 girl) international students from 104 countries are advancing with firm steps towards becoming an international university. OMÜ, with academic and administrative units, experts in the field, experienced faculty, provides education and training at the associate, undergraduate, and graduate levels. The University has about 58 thousand students, 2 thousand 348 academic staff, and 3937 employees. In 40 years, it has had approximately 150 thousand graduates by the year 2016. OMÜ promotes award-winning eminent academicians and students to pursue their passions, questioning, investigating, responsible, enterprising, creative, and an interdisciplinary approach to solving the most challenging problems to the researchers who discovered it. OMÜ is working intensively towards becoming a university unhindered. Our vision is to become an aspired university where innovativeness in science and technology, quality in education, and partner satisfaction in services is top level. For this purpose, internationalization is one of the main objectives of Ondokuz Mayıs University enhancement of the quality of education and researches are also of the utmost importance for the international employability of graduates. Bologna Process has acted as an accelerator for establishing an understanding of quality assurance and sustainable development. The Bologna Process aims to create a consistent and competitive "European Higher Education Area" based on mutual understanding and complementarity among European countries. This process, which is rapidly growing and has a dynamic nature, is not an adaptation of a new system. It is a movement of "innovation in education" that unifies existing systems. In addition to the mobility programs, academic cooperation protocols also open the way for developing international cooperation. Our University has 160 Erasmus Agreements with 23 European countries, and it has signed Mevlana protocols with 36 countries. The number of international degree students studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University increases every year as an indicator of our objective for creating an international campus. Today, Ondokuz Mayıs University is one of Turkey's leading universities, with approximately 1200 international students from 62 countries. Ondokuz Mayıs University started to hold the International Student Entrance Examination (OMU-ISE) as of the 2011-2012 academic year, the first in Turkey. The examination's main objective is to provide a standard for the application criteria and facilitate the application process. For increasing the accessibility of the examination, OMU-ISE was held in 26 centers in 16 different countries (Turkey, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iran, Kosova, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Switzerland, and a Tajikistan) for 2012-2013 academic year. Approximately 5000 students applied for the examination. OMU-ISE is accepted as an admission criterion for international students by 73 Universities (51 States and 22 Foundation) in Turkey. Ondokuz Mayıs University and the city of Samsun will provide you, youth, a good education, a healthy future, and a peaceful environment. İstanbul 29 Mayıs University, which was established by the Turkish Religious Foundation (Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı - TDV) in 2010, is a private university dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in social studies. Students benefit from small classes and research opportunities. The University offers multilingual education and has the highest number of international students in Turkey. The University is also strengthened by its collaboration with the ISAM library, which holds one of Turkey's most essential collections for the study of the Middle East and Islam. The University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in three faculties, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Faculty of International Islamic and Religious Studies. The Faculty of International Islamic and Religious Studies, which is one of Turkey's topology faculties, offers a BA degree, Turkish and Arabic being the teaching languages.
