Hazara University Mansehra has made remarkable progress amongst the newly established universities of the country. The students are very vibrant; the faculty is very active, supportive and administrative staff well entrenched to work in coordination for the overall development of academics, research, and multi-faceted development of the University, helping to emerge as one of the best institutions of the country. There is still room for faculty development, improving research laboratories' present status, bringing in more active and vibrant faculty to accelerate the tempo of quality teaching and research. Active collaboration with the foreign universities, encouraging the faculty to improve their qualification by sending them abroad for Ph.D. and post-doctorate studies, motivating the teachers and the staff to contribute more efficiently in a cooperative team spirit for the overall development of the University. There are no low regiments but only the poor colonels who have been responsible for the degradation of any institution. But it would be the priority to improve the quality of leadership and inspire the team with courage and confidence to do their best to mobilize their potential and raise the output of Hazara University as a model university of the country. The focus of the appeal is young students of Hazara University who are the country's backbone to provide future leadership in all spheres of life, and the universities are the nurseries to nourish and develop their capabilities for assuming the role of leadership in different fields of life. Hazara University intends to be a standard university that provides affordable quality educational opportunities for students to develop scientific, socio-cultural, economic, and political leadership through learner-centered teaching and research while strengthening their identity at Regional, National, and International levels. The mission of Hazara University is to impart knowledge in the fields of emerging and social sciences as well as liberal arts, inculcating the universal values of truth, beauty, and goodness among the younger generations, on the one hand, and to provide a befitting research base for contributing original research to the world research pool for the service of humanity, on the other. It further aims at imbuing the students with higher and nobler ideals of Islam and socialize them into well-rounded persons ever ready to serve their nation, the Ummah, and humanity. The Emblem of the University has the motto derived from the Holy Quran, an injunction from Almighty Allah meaning "Get Knowledge." The Emblem has snow-covered mountains of Kaghan in the backdrop and the Siran River in the foreground, having Deodar trees on its bank. Deodar tree has the symbolic significance of slow, steady, and sure growth spreading over centuries. The mission of the University, therefore, is to impart education systematically, gradually but surely spreading over centuries.
