  3. Founded in 1958, Cambridge Tutors College (CTC London) is an independent sixth form college that places a strong emphasis on a holistic learning experience, fostering greater aptitude and a well-rounded character in every student that walks through our doors, no matter their nationality, background or faith, by preparing them for higher education and the adult world that lies ahead. Our belief in education is to bring out the best in people in all aspects of life and we help to do this by providing a welcoming and safe environment in which they can thrive. Set among the parkland of the dynamic area of Croydon, we are located on the edge of London and benefit from an abundance of good transport links in and out of the capital. A pocket of academic excellence, our campus is small but intimate and sits neatly amid the privacy of Park Hill. At its heart, an old English country-house provides a charming and traditionally British setting in which to learn and grow for the students from over 25 different countries. CTC offers a world-class portfolio of A-Level and GCSE courses and our commitment to our students’ success and welfare is underpinned by a personal approach to our teaching and mentorship, providing an array of bespoke and valuable learning opportunities. Our classroom sizes are an average of six and so we can dedicate the necessary time required to help each individual reach their academic potential. Our unique hands-on, tutorial style includes careful monitoring and treating our students with the maturity and respect that works to encourage, rather than hinder, young adults. It is this very approach that has seen fantastic success year on year, proven both by the legion of happy, confident, and well-balanced students that graduate from CTC as well as our long-standing consistency in excellent academic results. In 2015, for example, 56% of A-Levels who sat at our College were awarded an A or A* grade. It certainly helps explain why so many succeed in securing places at leading universities. With our expert guidance, students are heavily supported throughout the university application process and are led towards the most appropriate decision when it comes to life’s next chapter. In 2015, a large majority of CTC students chose to go on to Russell Group Universities, the UK’s top 24 institutions including Oxford and Cambridge, with many opting for Medicine, BioSciences, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Architecture, Law, and Engineering. Our reputation for exceptional academic standards, as well as our warm, convivial atmosphere, has spread globally, resulting in the recruitment of 15 to 19-year-olds from countries as far as China, Vietnam, Russia, and Nigeria as well as many from the UK and Europe too. If you would like to find out more about CTC, please have a browse of our ISI inspection reports, our academic results, and impressive university destinations. We host various Open Days throughout the year and you can make an appointment to meet our Principal, Dr. Chris Drew, and have a tour of our campus. CTC London is dedicated to helping every one of our students reach their top potential within a multi-cultural and adult-focused environment. We aim to nurture the academic success, life skills, and self-confidence required to be independent learners in higher education and to achieve their absolute best in all of life’s challenges. An inclusive community spanning over 25 different nationalities, CTC welcomes people from all over the world and from every faith and background. With the welfare of each of our students as the core focus in everything we do, we encourage good relationships and attitudes to maximize their personal development and happiness. We instill in them a desire to work hard, enjoy their studies and participate fully in the College’s diverse activities and as a result, we see excellent grades, top university enrolment, and the annual graduation of well-balanced, enthusiastic young adults.

  5. The Cambridge School of Weston is a progressive, coeducational, day and boarding school for grades 9 through 12 and postgraduate. Established in 1886, we are dedicated to fostering individual strengths and multiple intelligences through a wide range of challenging courses and various teaching styles. Our unique Module System fosters deep learning and innovative teaching in all disciplines. Classes are an hour-and-a-half-long, and students concentrate intensely on three subjects at a time. Our curriculum is diverse and interdisciplinary, combining demanding academics with extensive visual and performing arts offerings. Students are encouraged to explore new educational experiences and areas of study and be proactive in planning their academic schedules. We offer more than 300 courses. No two student schedules are alike. Each student works with an advisor and the Academic Office to create a unique academic schedule that balances personal interests with college expectations and graduation requirements. Ultimately, each student's schedule aims to provide balance, rigor, and stimulation throughout the year. The Cambridge School of Weston's mission is to provide a progressive education that emphasizes deep learning, meaningful relationships, and a dynamic program that inspires students to discover who they are and their contribution to their school, their community, and the world. CSW's core values guide the way we interact with each other and with the community at large. They have been designed through a highly collaborative and iterative process and are deliberately aspirational. As a community, we value: We recognize every human being's potential and are committed to helping each student cultivate their unique interests and passions. We believe that students learn best through active engagement and a process-oriented approach that emphasizes multiple perspectives, wrestling with complexity, and creative problem-solving. We know that the outstanding education we offer is possible only because of the varied ethnicities, races, socioeconomic classes, religions, family structures, sexual orientations, physical abilities, gender identities, learning styles, and other identities that make up our community. We purposefully engage inequitable practices, working to provide an opportunity for individual and shared success. We value each voice in our community—listening, understanding, challenging, and engaging each other as we work together to shape every aspect of the CSW experience. We are invested in each other's the well-being and social and academic growth. We believe in the power of the CSW community to help create a more just and sustainable world. The Cambridge School of Weston's progressive and intensive academic program challenges our students to be inquisitive, innovative, and invested learners. We allow students to actively shape their education through our distinctive Module System, which has been a cornerstone of CSW's academic approach since 1973. Students take just a handful of classes throughout the year, allowing for longer class hours and intensive study in each subject area. We offer incredible breadth and depth in our curriculum—with more than 300 courses to choose from, no two student schedules are alike. The flexibility and variety within the Mod Plan allow our students to meet core academic requirements and explore individual curiosities and passions at the same time. In all of our classes, we incorporate primary resources for research, advocate learning through multiple perspectives, encourage lively discussion and debate, and emphasize our commitment to social justice—in the words we speak and the actions we take. Through our dynamic program, CSW students learn to think critically and creatively, ask questions, and develop self-awareness and discipline.

  7. Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) is a small, family-oriented, four-year college offering master's, bachelor's, and associate's degrees. Whether traditional or non-traditional, undergraduate, graduate, or professional, our students come to Calumet College of St. Joseph to share our commitment to learning as a lifelong endeavor. They join a community whose members — faculty, staff, students, trustees, alumni, and friends alike — believe that education must encompass the whole person: spiritual and moral and intellectual, the heart and the mind. Moreover, they come seeking the educational, professional, and cultural advantages of a college located in a busy metropolitan area within minutes from the City of Chicago. We, in turn, take our responsibility seriously to foster and support excellence in Catholic higher education, to keep a Calumet College of St. Joseph education accessible to a diverse population of students, and to offer personal attention and care to each member of the Calumet College of St. Joseph family. Calumet College of St. Joseph is a Catholic institution of higher learning dedicated to undergraduate and graduate students' academic, spiritual, and ethical development. Informed by its founding religious community's values, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood (C.PP.S.), the College promotes all people's inherent dignity, social justice, an ethic of service, student empowerment, opportunity, and lifelong learning. When you become a student at Calumet College of St. Joseph, you are not just choosing a college; you choose a way of life. It is a life dedicated to service and rooted in the Catholic tradition of social justice. This life is more than just a concept we talk about; it is a reality we try to live out every day. At CCSJ, you can start making a difference well before you graduate. The impact of CCSJ extends to the global community as well. Every spring, a faculty, staff, and students serve the poor of Guatemala by providing material assistance to some of the world's most needy. Our freshmen have given over 5,000 service-learning hours by volunteering within the community in the past two years. CCSJ is a Catholic college sponsored by the Cincinnati Province of the Precious Blood (C.PP.S.). CCSJ offers quality education in the Catholic tradition: It is open to students of all faiths. For over 50 years, Calumet College of St. Joseph has offered bachelor's, associate's degrees, and certificate programs. We serve a diverse student population that represents the Calumet area (Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois). In 2002, Calumet College of St. Joseph started its first graduate program, Master of Science in Law Enforcement Administration. Since that time, we have added three more graduate programs: Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Management. Subsequently, the Law Enforcement Administration degree was revised and is now the Public Safety Administration. These four master's programs provide students with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to confront their careers' challenges and affect their professions. In 1951 the Missionaries of the Precious Blood established an educational outpost in Northwest Indiana. They served a community like their patron St. Joseph: selfless, hardworking, and devoted to family. In church basements and empty storefronts, they educated the sons and daughters of mill workers and first-generation college students. Offering the Calumet Region's first bachelor's degree, the College changed lives. Providing access to education, the College grew. A move to Whiting accommodated expansion. In 1973, Amoco donated the building that currently serves as our 6-story "vertical campus." During these early years, the College's academic mission was defined: to serve the Calumet Region by offering quality education in the Catholic tradition. In keeping with the Catholic tradition, we place a high value on the dignity of every person. In addition to gaining knowledge and skill, our students learn to respect themselves and others. They learn to serve. Our graduates become alumni who make a daily difference in the community. They positively influence the fields of education, business, law enforcement, and the professions. They serve as artists and social workers, leaders of banking, and industry. This dedicated family of alumni is the College's legacy and future. With our roots deep in the Calumet Region, the College continues to grow. We carry on the tradition of serving a diverse student population, changing lives through education. Master's degrees and accelerated programs remove time and space barriers for our adult students. Innovative education programs assist professionals to transition to teaching. An athletic program, established in 1999, swelled the College's traditionally-aged academic population. Across the curriculum, our social justice emphasis fosters ethical behavior and civic engagement. We actively serve our neighbors with thousands of volunteer hours a year. We share our gifts with the less fortunate, providing books to the school-aged victims of Hurricane Katrina and adopting a Guatemalan village. Through academics and outreach, the College's mission extends far beyond the classroom.

  9. The University of Cambridge is a collegiate public research university in Cambridge, England. Founded in 1209, Cambridge is the second-oldest University in the English-speaking world and its fourth-oldest surviving University. The University grew out of an association of scholars who left the University of Oxford after a dispute with the townspeople.
