A'Sharqiyah University (ASU) is committed to being a leading higher education institute in Oman, emphasizing quality and excellence in teaching and research. At the same time, the University is providing the best possible teachers, professors, and administrative staff to obtain high-quality education and services to offer our students. As part of the University's future expansion, we will continue to review the current programs and add new programs in line with our strategic plan. Furthermore, a new campus will be constructed soon to provide more facilities for students, faculty, and staff. With the on-going road widening and expansion at the A'Sharqiyah region, the University will be accessible to the other Wilayats and the city of Muscat. Management in ASU is committed to preserving the organizational values at the forefront of everyone's mind by making them prominent within the workplace. The Admissions and Registration department constitutes the gateway for student academic life. This starts from their first day of joining the University and continues till after graduation. The department had started using the latest technologies to simplify admitting students and completing their registration, and accomplish all other activities concerning students and academic staff members. Research is a core element of the mission of A'Sharqiyah University (ASU). We recognize that ASU's status and quality will largely depend on the extent to which we are engaged in research and development activities as research is inevitable to sustain our academic and professional reputation. In support of the University's strategic plan, the proposed research strategic plan 'Building on creative Knowledge' provides a vision for accelerating the infrastructure growth and development of research, scholarship, and creative activity at ASU over the next five years. ASU values its employee relations and strives to encourage staff in achieving their ambitions through continuous development and excellence, thereby ensuring their contribution to the success of the University's Institutional Plan. Academic Support Center was established to give students the best possible opportunity to succeed here at A'Sharqiyah University. A'Sharqiyah University Library was started in 2010. The collections consist of 13,000 printed books, 17 print periodicals.
